Calming the emotional storm with EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique

Sometimes emotions are like a sandstorm. They hit your mind with an immense power to leave it covered in dust, unable to see clearly. Thoughts swirl wildly through your mind, in battle with each other. Most of the time, you didnt see such an emotional storm coming, you get totally lost in it and the only thing you do is: react to the situation you have been thrown into.

People, who meditate have one major advantage to handle an emotional storm: they can respond mindfully. They see the whole situation and are aware of the storm, which gives them a choice. With meditative awareness they can observe the storm clouds of fear, doubt, anger, confusion, without reacting to them. They hold still and let the storm pass. That doesnt mean they ignore feelings, they actually know their feelings and what triggers them very well.

Nethertheless, meditation doesnt always help when you are suffering emotional pain.

That is why I would like to introduce you to EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique, also called tapping! It might seem a bit weird, but the thing is, it truly works. It helps to clear anything from emotional wounds to subconscious blocks by working with physical stimulation of meridian points in your body.

The technique is a mix of acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy. It releases energy blockages that cause negative emotions.
